Make A Difference


  • Healing on the streets  -  Every weekend the churches of Canterbury are on the streets & out of their buildings.  This combined project among 7 churches in Canterbury is held outside the Boho Cafe on the High Street in order to bring healing to the people of our city.  Vineyard will be responsible to host one weekend per month as a part of that team.  In order to participate you need to go thru the training.  Email to get involved.

 

  • Breathe -  Is an initative that offers impartial, unbiased, non-judgemental support to enable women to make informed choices with personal integrity. Get in touch with Amanda for more info.

 

  • Christians Against Poverty - Christians Against Poverty is a national debt counselling charity with a network of over 190 debt centres across the UK,  that offer a face to face, comprehensive solution to those struggling under the burden of debt.

 

  • Storehouse - The overall vision is to supply emergency food support for individuals or families. Contact Amy or Chrissie for more info.

 

  • Time Out -A ministry to disadvantaged families in Canterbury they need helpers for their Thursday Morning “Breakfast Club” at St Andrews URC or the Friday Club at the Querns Road Estate Community Centre.  For more info talk to Mike Saunders or email him. 

 

  • Street Pastors - Canterbury Street Pastors has grown organically from a number of other nightlife ministries in the city, and will hopefully help to bring some of these together more.  The churches involved have been very enthusiastic about the project and the potential it brings for greater church unity.
