The Vision

C2L4 is designed for anyone who can invest a year of their time in structured discipleship in the pursuit of a LIfe that is beyond ordinary! The curriculum has evolved to contain a blend of discipleship, theology, church history and sociology which is considered foundational for those serious in pursuing discipleship for the rest of their lives. The course is designed to be A Leadership Curriculum including spiritual formation and discipleship and can be used as the basic level of a wider programme of leadership preparation and recognition for the church and marketplace.

The Distinctives

The key distinctives of C2L4 are that it is: 

• Local Vineyard church based, with an experience of the "behind the scenes" view of a church with a commitment to local community involvement and focus
• Discipleship based, with an emphasis on ‘apprenticeship-style learning’ through shared experience
• Experience based, with flexible teaching content to explain and interpret activity and service
• Target based, with an individually tailored goal setting and review process

In C2L4, the initial focus is on doing – both outward missionary activity and inward discipleship activity, which then gives a context for the teaching, which is then lived- out in a real church being environment. How each Trainee responds to these three areas is worked out during the year through their goal-setting interview and reviews (to which they are kept accountable). This allows the course, to a certain extent, to be ‘tailor-made’ to suit each individual Trainee’s needs and interests.
