What!
God's grace is amazing, incredible and absurd and when we come into contact with Jesus, He compels us to action. We believe that Jesus has hidden his treasure in the most unlikely places, in broken pots and messed up situations we encounter His Grace and redemption. Seeking to be "transformed nonconformists", "creatively maladjusted" to injustice and suffering. That includes going to Calais, visiting prisoners and loads more to come. Keep you're eyes peeled.
Why Gilead?
Gilead is a place mentioned a bunch of times in the Bible, there is a famous healing balm which is produced there and it the place features in an old African-American Spiritual called "There is a balm in Gilead".
Martin Luther King quoted this song in his famous speech "A Knock at Midnight" and that is where we came across it.
I still haven't told you what it means for us, but the truth is we don't know yet! That's why we picked it! If you want to help us figure it out, get in touch!
