This is a new group that has just started - our parent group was the lovely Mahers who we plan on occasionally socialising/doing community projects with as they are also Wincheap based.

 

Philemon 1:4 really represents the heart of this group: "As you share the faith you have in common with others, I pray that you may come to have a complete knowledge of every blessing we have in Christ."

 

Complete knowledge of every blessing we have in Christ - that's what we want. We are a group of people on a journey to plumb Christ's unsearchable depths, discovering more and more of God and then expressing him. We believe God is a happy God who has a crazy-amazing plan for each one of our lives and the hope is that by his grace we can be a part of seeing that fulfilled.

 

What this looks like is something we're still figuring out and experimenting with. So far it's been mainly long worship sessions, all different kinds of prayer and soaking in scripture. In the future, there'll probably be more of the same, as well as listening to powerful talks by people like Mike Bickle, Heidi Baker and Bill Johnson; inviting guest facilitators both from inside and outside the church who can impart a hunger for God; outreach projects as we feel led; prophetic ministry; soaking prayer, intercession...and more worship!

 

The goal of this small group is that, apart from Sunday mornings, there would be a mid-week space where you will be able to come and *know* that you are going to encounter God in a fresh and powerful way that will overflow into the rest of your life.
